Job Information:
We are seeking a motivated and passionate Indigenous Student Intern to join our Canadian Operations team. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the commercial real estate industry. The intern will work closely with our Community and Culture team to support various projects and activities aimed at strengthening our partnerships with Indigenous communities.
About the Role:
As a CBRE Summer Intern, you will work on projects, learn about the business, make industry connections, and develop both hard and soft skills related a career in the commercial real estate industry. This role will provide valuable business and leadership experience, enhance your studies, and prepare you for your future career. The interns will work closely with our Indigenous Relations and Community and Culture team to support various projects across the Canadian organization.
What You’ll Do:
Data Analysis and Recommendations: Utilize data from multiple sources to perform comprehensive analyses, identify areas for improvement, and provide actionable recommendations.
Report Generation: Design, generate, review, and interpret reports to support decision-making processes.
Special Projects: Conduct special projects and assignments as requested, including the coordination, planning, and execution of special events, conferences, and office events.
Administrative Liaison: Act as an administrative liaison within CBRE’s Canadian operations, addressing administrative issues in areas such as accounting, marketing, company events, and research.
Administrative Support: Provide administrative support, including scheduling, documentation, and communication tasks.
What You’ll Need:
Students wishing to apply must be Indigenous (Status Indian, Non-Status Indian, Inuit or Métis) and enrolled in a post-secondary program, preferably in Indigenous studies, social sciences, or a related field.
Strong understanding of Indigenous cultures, histories, and contemporary issues.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Demonstrated commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion.

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The salary range being offered for the Indigenous Student Internship is between $10,000 and $15,000 . The compensation that is provided to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience.
