In this role, you will perform preventive maintenance, repair, testing, installation, and troubleshooting of plumbing, mechanical, and distribution systems throughout the facility. You’ll help maintain critical building infrastructure, ensure compliance with safety and quality standards, and support a clean, efficient, and well functioning environment for our client’s operations.

What You’ll Do

  • Maintain and repair plumbing and pipefitting systems across five nearby buildings, addressing a high volume of routine and complex plumbing issues.
  • Install new water systems, piping, and fixtures by blueprints, drawings, specifications, and applicable codes.
  • Perform steam system work, including steam trap rebuilding and support for chilled water systems such as frequent filter changes.
  • Handle water diversion, drain maintenance, and cafeteria plumbing needs, ensuring reliable facility operations.
  • Work in a variety of environments, including rooftops, ladders, confined areas, and outdoor spaces, as required.
  • Support safe and efficient building operations through hands on troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance across all assigned facilities.
  • Ensure waste and vent lines are in good operating condition using a plumber’s snake, vacuum plunger, or jet washer.
  • Complete plumbing safety inspections on backflow devices.
  • Provide training to other staff members so they can perform light plumbing maintenance and repair.
  • Perform general maintenance and building systems operational duties as assigned or directed.
  • Respond to emergency situations, summoning extra help as needed.
  • Follow all activity policies and procedures, always including all HSE-related requirements.
What You’ll Need

  • High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 4-5 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered. Plumbing certification at the Journeyman level required. Medical Gas certification and Backflow certification preferred.
  • Valid Driver’s License required. Prior shift manager or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
  • Ability to exercise judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information.
  • Willingness to take a new perspective on existing solutions.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Organizational skills with an advanced inquisitive mindset.
