Are you a hands-on, proactive individual with a passion for keeping things running smoothly? We’re looking for a Caretaker to join our team in Bury St Edmunds. This is a varied and rewarding role where no two days are the same!
What You’ll Be Doing:
As our on-site go-to person, you’ll be responsible for a wide range of tasks that keep the building safe, clean, and running efficiently. Your duties will include:
- Managing internal and external post
- Conducting contractor and visitor inductions
- Acting as the first point of contact for facilities-related queries
- Performing regular site inspections and reporting issues
- Delivering excellent customer service to staff and visitors
- Carrying out basic cleaning and topping up consumables
- Handling minor repairs (fabric, electrical, plumbing)
- Assisting with HVAC adjustments and fire alarm tests
- Responding to ad-hoc requests from the client or FM provider
What We’re Looking For:
- A proactive, can-do attitude with a strong sense of responsibility
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Basic knowledge of building maintenance (training can be provided)
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
- Comfortable using tools and performing minor repairs
