Are you a hands-on, proactive individual with a passion for keeping things running smoothly? We’re looking for a Caretaker to join our team in Bury St Edmunds. This is a varied and rewarding role where no two days are the same!

What You’ll Be Doing:

As our on-site go-to person, you’ll be responsible for a wide range of tasks that keep the building safe, clean, and running efficiently. Your duties will include:

  • Managing internal and external post
  • Conducting contractor and visitor inductions
  • Acting as the first point of contact for facilities-related queries
  • Performing regular site inspections and reporting issues
  • Delivering excellent customer service to staff and visitors
  • Carrying out basic cleaning and topping up consumables
  • Handling minor repairs (fabric, electrical, plumbing)
  • Assisting with HVAC adjustments and fire alarm tests
  • Responding to ad-hoc requests from the client or FM provider

What We’re Looking For:

  • A proactive, can-do attitude with a strong sense of responsibility
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • Basic knowledge of building maintenance (training can be provided)
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
  • Comfortable using tools and performing minor repairs
