About the Role:
Uses Geographic Information Systems (GIS) fundamental concepts, practices and procedures proficiently to accomplish analytical work. Supports education, communication, and marketing of capabilities; as well as providing analytical support to both internal and external clients.
What You’ll Do:
- Process, prepare, and maintain critical analytic databases for client projects.
- Develop advanced specialized maps utilizing geographic and demographic information using programming, database, and graphic skills.
- Extract demographic information from various databases for use in maps or reports.
- Provide support to the project and account managers on client projects.
- Perform quality assurance on all products or services being developed for clients to ensure product is meeting specified requirements.
- Interface with clients as their primary database support resource and provides those clients database support as it is related to the maintenance of their solutions.
- Support clients and internal resources in the roles of map development, geocoding, database development, database manipulation, and database design.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Bachelor's degree with a major or minor in Geography or related field; or Associates degree or equivalent, with training in GIS technology. 2+ years experience required.
- GIS Certification preferred.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, and able to communicate with people at all levels across the organization.
- Requires knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages, discounts, and/or commissions. Conducts basic financial analysis.
- Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret documents. Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations. Requires intermediate analytical and quantitative skills.
- Advanced proficiency in ESRI ArcMap, Maptitude, MapInfo, or other GIS-related technologies required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
