About the Role:

As a CBRE CAD / CAFM Administrator, you will provide CAD and CAFM support and technical oversight across multiple design-related initiatives. You will manage processes related to feasibility studies, standards application, exterior design, and signage while interacting closely with clients, project teams, and design service providers.

This job is part of the Design Services / Project Support job function. They are responsible for delivering accurate, compliant, and value-driven design-related support that aligns with client expectations, industry standards, and CBRE best practices.


What You’ll Do:

  • Provide CAD and CAFM support for feasibility studies, standards applications, exterior design, and signage initiatives.
  • Manage the processing, documentation, tracking, and reporting of design and standards-related exercises, ensuring processes are followed and auditable.
  • Interface directly with clients to provide design solutions aligned with business, brand, and operational standards.
  • Administer design reviews and obtain client approvals for new projects and initiatives.
  • Prepare preliminary plans, budgets, stacking and blocking plans, and space plans.
  • Communicate the rationale, interpretation, and status of standards to Project Managers (PMs), Team Members (TMs), and other stakeholders.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations and training sessions to Project Management teams and clients.
  • Coordinate closely with internal teams and external design service providers to ensure deliverables are accurate, timely, and meet client expectations.
  • Review and validate deliverables from third-party suppliers on the client’s behalf.
  • Apply industry knowledge related to market trends, codes, client expectations, value engineering, and innovation.
  • Maintain the currency and accuracy of design-related information, including building components and disciplines.
  • Support value engineering initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Respond to client inquiries with appropriate design insights and solutions.
  • Act as a strategic contributor to change initiatives by supporting innovation, application, and education related to design services.
  • Impact own team and other teams whose work activities are closely related.

What You’ll Need:
  • High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s Degree (AA/AS) in AD/CAFM, Architectural Technology, AutoCAD, or equivalent preferred.
  • Diploma or Degree in Interior Design preferred.
  • Minimum of 4 years of job-related experience, with extensive corporate and retail design experience preferred.
  • Prior experience as a CAD/CAFM Architectural Technologist or Interior Designer preferred.
  • Professional credentials such as AATO, ARIDO, or DC preferred.
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD and the ability to read and understand architectural drawings.
  • Knowledge of leases, contracts, construction practices, project management, building and municipal codes, engineering practices, signage/wayfinding, and architectural and interior design industries.
  • CAD/CAFM MSQL or SQL expertise preferred.
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
  • Requires basic financial knowledge and the ability to calculate simple figures such as percentages.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present information to internal teams and client groups.
  • Basic analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to follow general instructions in standard situations.
  • Ability to evaluate and communicate information in a clear, logical, and concise manner.
