About the Role:

As a CBRE Quality and Compliance Consultant, you will be responsible for overseeing regulatory compliance and Joint Commission readiness across a significant portfolio of healthcare facilities. This hybrid role requires frequent travel within the Greater Austin and Central Texas regions, with occasional travel to North Texas. 

The ideal candidate will be a proactive leader with a strong background in healthcare regulatory compliance and Joint Commission survey preparation, committed to fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement.

This job is part of the Contract Quality Management job function. They are responsible for managing the delivery of contractual services to ensure requirements are fulfilled.

What You’ll Do:
  • Oversee regulatory compliance and Joint Commission survey preparation for a large portfolio of healthcare facilities, including 14 hospitals and numerous clinics, primarily located in Greater Austin and Central Texas.
  • Conducting frequent on-site visits at least once or twice a month per site during survey cycles.
  • Conduct audits and inspections of facilities and their survey readiness.
  • Oversee compliance programs for both company and client operations, ensuring adherence to all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Identify and address facility-specific issues requiring correction to ensure ongoing compliance and patient safety.
  • Collaborate with facilities management teams, internal partners, and external vendors to implement compliance initiatives and resolve identified issues.
  • Conduct thorough audits of facilities to assess survey readiness and ensure documentation accuracy.
  • Assist with implementing compliance initiatives for regulatory surveys.
  • Report compliance status to internal and external clients during review meetings, escalating and notifying management of critical quality and compliance issues.
  • Communicate quality and compliance initiatives and issues effectively across all functional areas.
  • Interface with, partner, and lead a team including a Quality & Compliance Analyst and a Senior Quality & Compliance Analyst.
  • Coach analysts on proper documentation practices and coordinate compliance activities to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Interface and collaborate with vendors to ensure compliance within facilities.
  • Escort vendors within facilities to highlight and address areas requiring correction or improvement.
  • Oversee small to medium-sized compliance programs for both company and client.
  • Interface, partner, and interact with both internal and external client’s functional areas and leadership teams.
  • Communicate quality and compliance initiatives and issues across the functional areas.
  • Report Compliance status to internal and external clients during review meetings. Escalate and notify the company and client management of quality and compliance issues.
  • Apply in-depth knowledge of standard principles and techniques/procedures to accomplish complex assignments and provide innovative solutions.
  • Coach others and share in-depth knowledge of own job discipline and broad knowledge of several job disciplines within the function.
  • Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Work to build consensus and convince others to reach an agreement.
  • Impact a range of customer, operational, project, or service activities within own team and other related teams.
  • Work within broad guidelines and policies.
  • Explain difficult or sensitive information.
What You’ll Need:
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred with 5-8 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
  • Ability to exercise judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information.
  • Willingness to take a new perspective on existing solutions.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Organizational skills with an advanced inquisitive mindset.
  • Ability to calculate mildly complex figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations.
