Safety. Compliance. Impact. CBRE is hiring a Hazardous Material Handling Maintenance Technician who keeps operations moving safely for a major global leader campus in Santa Rosa, CA.

- Assist with technical and safety training.
- Participate in and support efficiency improvement Kaizen activities for the site and network when needed.
- Adhere to department business plans and budgets.
- Keep all material handling equipment in the best condition by conducting regular maintenance.
- Identify and locate the right products during the delivery process.
- Inspect and troubleshoot equipment and systems.
- Check the functionality of safety systems.
- Use existing procedures to solve straightforward problems while having a limited opportunity to exercise discretion.
- Impact through clearly defined duties, methods, and tasks are described in detail.
- Deliver own output by following defined procedures and processes under close supervision and guidance.
- High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 1-2 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
- Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
- Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
- Ability to follow basic work routines and standards in the application of work.
- Communication skills to exchange straightforward information.
- Basic math skills. Ability to calculate simple figures such as percentages, discounts, and markups.

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the Union Operating Engineer position is $24 per hour and the maximum salary is $30 per hour. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience.
