About the Role

We are seeking a Calibration & Metrology Technician to support a large‑scale calibration program within a pharmaceutical manufacturing facility in Winslow, Maine. This role plays a key part in maintaining compliance, safety, and operational excellence by supporting both in‑house and third‑party calibration activities.
The technician will work in a highly regulated GMP environment, collaborating closely with site maintenance, engineering, safety, and external vendors. This position also supports the gradual expansion of in‑house calibration capabilities, making it a strong growth opportunity for early‑career calibration professionals.
Schedule: Monday–Friday | Day Shift | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

What You’ll Do

Perform in‑house calibrations in accordance with customer specifications, SOPs, and regulatory requirements
Support calibration activities performed by approved third‑party vendors
Assist with calibration scheduling based on instrument due dates, site priorities, and production needs
Coordinate with site personnel to ensure instrument accessibility during scheduled calibration windows
Review calibration certificates for accuracy, completeness, and GMP compliance
Close out calibration work orders within the CMMS system
Ship instruments for off‑site calibration and reconcile documentation upon return
Support Safe Work Permit (SWP) processes for vendor and internal calibration activities
Follow and assist with Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures in coordination with Maintenance and site requirements
Ensure all work is performed in compliance with site HSE policies, safety standards, and quality requirements


Required Qualifications

High School Diploma, GED, or Trade School diploma with equivalent technical experience (instrumentation, electronics, or related field)
1–2 years of experience in calibration, maintenance, or a regulated technical environment (pharma, biotech, food, or medical device preferred)
Valid driver’s license
Ability to meet the physical requirements of the role, including standing, stooping, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and lifting or carrying 50 lbs or more
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage documentation accurately in a regulated environment
