About the Role:

CBRE is currently seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs on building systems including mechanical and electrical components.

This role supports energy efficiency, ensures compliance with safety codes, and assists with equipment installations and modifications. Ideal candidates have basic mechanical experience, strong organizational skills, and the physical ability to handle manual tasks in a fast-paced environment.

 

This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function. They are responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems.

What You’ll Do:

·         Installs, operates, and performs repairs and preventive maintenance on various virgin and waste bulk chemical and industrial wastewater systems.

·         Operates industrial facilities to control flow and processing of streams such as water, wastewater, steam, compressed air, sludge and effluents.

·         Monitors control panels and panelboard and adjusts controls, valves and gates manually or by remote control to regulate flow, pressure, elevation, and distribution.

·         Operates and controls electric motors, pumps, gates, engines, generators and valves into plant to regulate processes.

·         Maintains shift log, observes variations in operating conditions; records and interprets meter and gauge readings.

  • Perform ongoing preventive maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and other building systems.
  • Conduct routine maintenance inspections, diagnose potential problems, and make repairs.
  • Assist with the installation and modification of building equipment and systems.
  • Review assigned work orders and partner with available systems to track completion.
  • Support energy management by ensuring all building systems are operating efficiently.
  • Inspect existing installations for compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
  • Use existing procedures to solve straightforward problems. Exchange straightforward information in a clear, concise manner.
  • Impact team through defined duties, methods and tasks as described in detail.
  • Deliver own output by following defined procedures and processes under close supervision and guidance.

What You’ll Need:

  • High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 1-2 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
  • Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
  • Ability to follow basic work routines and standards in the application of work.
  • Communication skills to exchange straightforward information.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the Wastewater Treatment Lead Maintenance Technician position is $30.00 per hour and the maximum salary for the Wastewater Treatment Lead Maintenance Technician position is $37.00 per hour. The compensation offered to a successful candidate will depend on their skills, qualifications, and experience. This role will provide the following benefits: 401(K), Dental insurance, Health insurance, Life insurance, and Vision insurance.
