Job Function: Property & Facilities Management / Facilities Management

About the Role

As a CBRE Facilities Manager, you will lead a team responsible for overseeing building operations, maintenance, and service delivery across a facility, campus, or a portfolio of small to medium-sized buildings.

This role is part of the Facilities Management function, which oversees all aspects of asset operations, supporting Property Management teams with repair plans, operational improvements, compliance, and investment planning. In addition, the role carries a commercial responsibility to identify, propose, and secure additional project opportunities from existing clients to support account growth.

What You’ll Do

People Leadership & Operational Management

  • Provide formal supervision to employees, including training, development, performance evaluations, and coaching.
  • Lead staffing, recruitment, and onboarding activities for the facilities team.
  • Establish daily work schedules, assign tasks, monitor workload distribution, and ensure cross-training within the team.
  • Set and track departmental KPIs, service standards, and deadlines.

Facilities Operations

  • Coordinate and manage all facility repairs and maintenance activities with technicians, vendors, and contractors to ensure timely and quality service delivery.
  • Conduct regular facility inspections and quality assurance checks in line with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Identify operational efficiencies, process improvements, and long-term upgrade opportunities.
  • Ensure environmental health, safety, and regulatory compliance across all managed sites.

Financial & Vendor Management

  • Prepare and manage annual operating budgets, capital expenditure plans, and variance reports.
  • Oversee vendor performance, contract compliance, invoicing, and procurement of goods, parts, and services.
  • Review and validate price quotes, negotiate competitive rates, and manage service-level expectations.

Client Relationship Management

  • Maintain strong working relationships with clients; manage expectations, provide updates on facility issues, and ensure service excellence.
  • Conduct regular client engagements and resolve escalated issues effectively.

Business Growth & Additional Works

  • Continuously identify, propose, and secure additional projects, improvement works, and value-added services from existing clients.
  • Develop and present proposals, cost estimates, and commercial justifications for additional works.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., Project Management, Technical Services) to execute awarded works successfully and enhance CBRE’s value proposition.
  • Leverage client relationships and site insights to proactively uncover opportunities for revenue growth and account expansion.

Training, Compliance & Best Practices

  • Conduct process and procedure training on maintenance, safety, and operational best practices.
  • Ensure all facility staff comply with CBRE RISE values, safety standards, and operational guidelines.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues, including moderately complex situations requiring sound judgment and problem-solving skills.

What You’ll Need

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, with 5–8 years of relevant experience managing industrial facilities. Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
  • Valid driver’s license; Facility Management certifications are an added advantage.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Experience in staffing, coaching, development, and performance management.
  • Ability to manage sensitive or complex information, establish trust, and align stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem‑solving abilities.
  • Advanced numerical skills, including the ability to perform financial calculations such as percentages, fractions, forecasts, and cost analysis.
