About the Role:

As a CBRE Sr. Data Center M&E Technician, you will focus on maintaining and
troubleshooting critical building systems, such as HVAC, electrical, and fire/life safety-
through daily inspections, preventative maintenance, and emergency response. The
technician ensures safety, regulatory compliance, and system reliability while coordinating
with vendors and documenting all work. A technical background, Journeyman/Electrician
or HVAC EPA 608 license, and experience in mission-critical environments are essential.
Other common job titles: Critical Facilities Technician, Data Center HVAC Technician, Data
Center Electrician. Relevant military experience will be considered.

What You'll Do:
  • Assist with daily site inspections of all Mechanical & Engineering systems and technical
  • equipment, including servicing and maintenance.
  • Perform preventative maintenance in accordance with OEM recommendations and
  • industry standards.
  • Ensure the site's environmental conditions provide a safe work environment.
  • Work with third-party vendors, ensuring compliance with company-developed processes, procedures, and all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Alert management if subcontractor performance doesn't meet all requirements per the Master Service Agreement.
  • Complete planned preventative maintenance (PM) and reactive maintenance on all
  • equipment.
  • Check BMS for running and alarm conditions and respond to HVAC or Electrical-related
  • client problems.
  • Complete assigned work according to established processes and procedures. 
  • Follow all safety processes and requirements and ensure all regulatory requirements and quality
  • standards are met. 
  • Conduct routine quality checks for comprehensive records.
What You’ll Need:
• High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 1-2 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
• Ability to work shifts that may include weekends and holidays
• Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and
the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
• Ability to use existing procedures to solve standard problems.
• Experience with analyzing information and standard practices to make judgments.
• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
• Organizational skills with a strong inquisitive mindset.
• Intermediate math skills. Ability to calculate difficult figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial related calculations.

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the Data Center Specialist position is $64000 annually and the maximum salary for the Data Center Specialist position is $74000 annually. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience.
