ABOUT THE ROLE
Utilizes advanced skills to perform preventive maintenance and corrective repair of HVAC equipment. Working under limited supervision, monitoring building HVAC equipment operations and performance. Is fluent and has commercial HVAC experience. This includes Rooftop units, split system units, and mini-split units, including heat pumps. Ability to troubleshoot and make all necessary repairs for the above types of HVAC equipment. Also understands and makes minor repairs to electrical, plumbing and lighting within client buildings. This also includes minor handyman repairs. Able to learn and use Work Order systems to complete preventative and demand Work Orders. Follows direction of supervisor to achieve account goals.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Complies with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency and Company directives related to building operations and work safety.
- Help others with repairs as needed.
- Preventive maintenance of all HVAC equipment.
- Performs repairs on all HVAC equipment, electrical equipment and components.
- Manages and is responsible for Work Orders assigned through mobile Work Order system.
- Estimates time and materials needed to complete repair.
- Orders necessary materials and supplies to complete all tasks.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or related HVAC training
- Minimum of one year of related experience and/or trade school training.
CERTIFICATES AND/OR LICENSES
Universal CFC certification required. Certification in two or more of the following: Electrical, Mechanical, HVAC and Refrigeration systems, process controls, mechanical power transmissions, painting, plumbing, carpentry, or engine repair as well as CFC Certification.
OTHER SKILLS and/or ABILITIES
Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
Understanding of existing procedures and standards to solve slightly complex problems.
Ability to analyze possible solutions using technical experience to apply appropriate judgment and precedents.
Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
