About the Role:
As a CBRE Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining a large campus of healthcare facilities in Temple, TX on the 1st shift. You will ensure a safe, functional, and well-maintained environment for patients, staff, and visitors. This role involves will perform a broad range of maintenance, preventative care, and emergency repairs across various building systems, while providing professional customer service to campus occupants.
What You’ll Do:- Execute ongoing preventative maintenance and corrective repairs on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and other essential building systems.
- Conduct routine maintenance inspections, diagnose system malfunctions, and implement timely repairs.
- Manage and complete assigned work orders efficiently using the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests to minimize operational disruptions.
- Assist with the installation, modification, and commissioning of new building equipment and systems.
- Support energy management initiatives by ensuring building systems operate at peak efficiency.
- Inspect existing installations to ensure continuous compliance with all applicable building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards.
- Interact professionally and courteously with all clients, staff, and visitors, providing exceptional customer service.
- Use existing procedures to solve straightforward problems. Exchange straightforward information in a clear, concise manner.
- Impact team through defined duties, methods and tasks as described in detail.
- Deliver own output by following defined procedures and processes under close supervision and guidance.
- High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 1-2 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
- Ability to work on a On-Call Rotation schedule: Required to participate in a rotating on-call schedule (approximately one week per month), typically commencing after six months of employment.
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician, specifically maintaining building facilities in a commercial, industrial or residential facility.
- Demonstrated proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing HVAC, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
- Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
- Ability to follow basic work routines and standards in the application of work.
- Communication skills to exchange straightforward information.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
- Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
