What You’ll Do:
Logistics & Driving Responsibilities
- Transport materials safely and efficiently across a multi‑building campus using a company van or truck, adhering to all site, safety, and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with internal teams and service partners to ensure timely movement and tracking of materials across the campus.
- Maintain accurate records of daily transport activities, delivery routes, and material movement to support reporting and auditing requirements.
Mailroom & Office Support Responsibilities
- Approve or reject deliveries based on inspections and ensure materials meet client and site requirements.
- Ensure that all received packages are delivered on the same day or communicate next‑day arrival expectations to consignees, including the proper handling and priority delivery of temperature‑sensitive materials such as items shipped on dry ice or cold packs.
- Bring mail, packages, copy products, and stationery to designated groups or locations according to daily schedules.
- Answer common inquiries or complaints from clients, coworkers, and supervisors, presenting information clearly to internal groups.
- Monitor the mailroom environment and equipment and report issues requiring maintenance or service intervention.
- Assist with special handling requirements for confidential, time‑sensitive, or regulated materials according to policy.
- Serve as a backup resource for essential workflows, including warehouse operations and dewar/cylinder replacement within laboratory locations.
- Support periodic inventory reviews for office supplies, ensuring adequate stock levels to maintain uninterrupted service.
- Partner with security or facilities staff during high‑volume periods or events to ensure smooth and efficient delivery flow.
- Suggest improvements to existing processes and solutions to enhance the efficiency of the team.
What You’ll Need:
- High School Diploma or GED with 3–4 years of job‑related experience.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Comprehensive understanding of processes, procedures, systems, and concepts relevant to mailroom and logistics operations.
- Ability to evaluate and communicate unusual or complex content in a concise and logical manner.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
- Advanced organizational skills with an inquisitive, solution‑driven mindset.
- Ability to work in varying temperature conditions, including environments impacted by open dock doors that may reflect outdoor weather.
