About the Role:
As a CBRE Union Mechanic, you will support the operation, inspection, and maintenance processes in an assigned facility.
This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function. They are responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems.
What You’ll Do:
• Partner with internal teams on complex maintenance and repair efforts
• Perform inspections and repairs to assigned property interior and exterior areas. This includes HVAC units, Boilers, Cooling Towers, etc.
• Review and assign work orders to team members. Directly complete ongoing preventive and repairs as needed.
• Conduct facility inspections and due diligence efforts. Report on conditions that impact client occupancy and operations,
• Complete Hazard Assessments. Maintain compliance with State, County, or City Ordinances, Codes, or Laws.
• Have some knowledge of standard principles with limited practical experience in applying them.
• Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values.
• Impact the quality of own work.
• Work within standardized procedures and practices to achieve objectives and meet deadlines. • Exchange straightforward information, ask questions, and check for understanding.
What You’ll Need:
• High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 2-3 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
• Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
• Ability to use existing procedures to solve standard problems.
• Experience with analyzing information and standard practices to make judgments.
• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
• Organizational skills with a strong inquisitive mindset.
