JOB SUMMARY  

We are seeking a Payroll Manager professional to oversee payroll operations in a dynamic working environment. This role ensures accurate, timely, and compliant payroll processing for a growing workforce. The Payroll Manager will manage a team, streamline processes, and collaborate with HR and Finance to deliver payroll services. The ideal candidate will also bring strong knowledge of compensation and benefits to address employee queries and system expertise to lead payroll-related projects and automation initiatives.

This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, has a strong grasp of payroll processes, and takes pride in accuracy and compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage end-to-end payroll processing, including salary computation, deductions, benefits, and government contributions (SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, BIR).
  • Ensure compliance with Philippine labor laws, tax regulations, and company policies, including handling of annualization and Income Tax Return (ITR) preparations in compliance with tax regulations.
  • Prepare payroll reports and support audits with detailed analysis which includes  detailed reports on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), including attendance, absenteeism, and turnover rates.
  • Collaborate with HR, Finance, and Operations to resolve payroll and benefits-related issues.
  • Lead payroll system projects and automation initiatives to improve efficiency.
  • Lead and mentor payroll staff, driving accuracy, efficiency, and continuous improvements.
  • Provide guidance on compensation and benefits, addressing employee queries effectively.
  • Calculate separation pay accurately following company policies and applicable laws.
  • Manage payroll complaints professionally, ensuring timely resolution and monitoring issues.
  • Generate manpower and salary statistics for workforce planning and budgeting decisions.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, HR, or Business Administration., or a related field, with a strong focus on Payroll.
  • Minimum 7 years of payroll experience, preferably in a large MNC or shared services environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Philippine labor laws, government-mandated benefits, and compensation practices with Proven expertise in Payroll processing, Taxation, and statutory compliance.
  • Proficiency in payroll systems (SAP, Oracle, Workday, PeopleSoft, or local payroll software).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment.
  • Willing to work on-site and flexible with work schedules (including shifting hours if required).

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • High attention to detail and strong mathematical skills for accurate payroll processing and reporting.
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Familiarity with SQL or Power BI is a plus.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and willingness to work beyond regular hours when necessary.
