About the Role:
The Maintenance Technical Supervisor oversees a multi-craft team providing mechanical, electrical, HVAC, fabrication, machining, welding, and carpentry services. Supporting Product Research and Development (PRD) in both GMP and non-GMP environments, the supervisor ensures reliable maintenance across pilot plants, labs, clinical manufacturing, offices, utilities, and building infrastructure. The role manages HVAC mechanics, electricians, pipefitters, welders, instrument technicians, and machinists, ensuring safe, efficient operations that enable scientific innovation.
What You’ll Do:
Ensures that all facilities are operated and maintained in a cost-effective and safe condition in accordance with the approved budget and the customer’s requirements to fulfill O&M contractual obligations.
Maintains a proactive relationship with customer and understand business needs of individual customer areas. Communicates those business needs to CBRE management. Communicate with customers at all levels regarding maintenance requests, on-going status reports, completion dates and other issues regarding services being provided.
Reviews and approves expenditures for tools, equipment, supplies, materials and additional Job requirements. May assist with input for preparation of facility budget.
Communicates leadership philosophy, objectives and expectations to CBRE O&M staff in a continuing effort to build the team.
Supervises facilities craft personnel including hiring, promotions, recognition, discipline, and performance management. Plans, directs, and monitors the performance management process to include the development and implementation of work unit objectives that align with organizational and corporate priorities.
Prioritize and assign work for each crew member and contractor as needed, for example, contractors who perform bio-hood PMs.
Receive requests for emergency or non-scheduled work from customers and determine the priority and actions to be taken. Following Conduct of Maintenance principles, assign crew members to job assignments in GMARS, based on work order backlogs and priorities established by the planner/scheduler, and available hours.
Ensure that all crew members have received the appropriate technical, safety and procedural training and are qualified, before assigning work to them. Work with each crew member to develop a comprehensive ITP curriculum based on technical, safety, quality and environmental standards.
What You’ll Need:
- High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 5-8 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered. Prior shift leader or supervisory experience preferred.
- Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.

- Ability to solve unique problems using standard and innovative solutions having a broad impact on the business.
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
- Expert organizational skills with an advanced inquisitive mindset.
- Highly sophisticated math skills. Ability to calculate somewhat complex figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations.
