Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced HVAC Design/Drafting Engineer with a minimum of 3 + years of experience in fit-out projects. The ideal candidate will be a team player with strong technical skills and a proven ability to deliver high-quality designs within budget and schedule. This role requires close collaboration with senior designers, contractors, and vendors to ensure successful project execution.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with senior HVAC designers to receive design inputs and translate them into detailed drawings and specifications.
• Prepare accurate budget estimations for HVAC systems by effectively pitching project proposals.
• Develop comprehensive design brief reports adhering to all relevant NBC (National Building Code) and local norms and standards.
• Calculate and document HVAC electrical loads.
• Design Building Management Systems (BMS), including detailed input/output (I/O) summaries.
• Develop detailed design documentation including heat load calculations, high and low-side equipment specifications, and schematic diagrams.
• Specialize in the design of critical room HVAC systems (server rooms, battery rooms, UPS rooms, and hub rooms).
• Prepare comprehensive tender documents, including detailed drawings and Bills of Quantities (BOQs).
• Develop detailed technical specifications tailored to individual project requirements.
• Prepare complete construction documents for seamless project execution.
• Issue General Fixture Criteria (GFCs) for shop drawing preparation and review.
• Coordinate effectively with vendors and contractors to ensure timely and accurate project execution, adhering to specifications.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in HVAC design and drafting within the fit-out industry.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit (preferred), BIM/ and other relevant HVAC design software.
• Strong understanding of HVAC principles, equipment, and systems.
• Thorough knowledge of NBC (National Building Code) and local building codes and regulations.
• Experience with BMS system design and implementation.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
• Experience in preparing budget estimations and BOQs.
