JOB SUMMARY  

Provides business analysis, project support and coordination. Analyzes existing functionality, recommends process improvements and feature implementations to improve productivity of the department. Creates production and ad-hoc reporting of human resources related information for use within human resources and internal company departments.




ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES  

Monitors HR systems including HR, Manager Self Services (MSS) and Employee Self Services (ESS) for problems such as programming or data entry errors and facilitates resolution, whether that be by fixing the problem directly or following up with the appropriate department (e.g., IT, HR, or compensation).

Performs process review analysis, including documenting current processes and designing new processes to take advantage of technology.

Provides consulting services for HR information needs in conjunction with department management and end-users.

Supports development and upgrading of human resources information systems (HRIS) applications through needs analysis and business requirements documentation.

Conducts audits to ensure data integrity of employee pay and benefits information.

Provides assistance in system upgrades/patches through testing, reporting and analysis of changes.

Collects and distributes data as needed for reports.

Develops reports and procedures needed by other internal HR departments.

Ensures all standard reporting is distributed accurately and in a timely manner.

Communicates trends and process changes to the HRIS Manager.

Other duties as needed.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE  

Bachelor's degree (BA or BS) from 4-year college or university and 2 to 4 years of related experience.

None


COMMUNICATION SKILLS  

Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to customers. Ability to effectively present information.


FINANCIAL KNOWLEDGE  

Requires knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages, discounts and/or commissions. Conducts basic financial analysis.


REASONING ABILITY  

Ability to solve problems involving complex options in variable situations. Requires intermediate analytical skills.


OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES  

PeopleSoft system knowledge required. PeopleSoft HRIS system experience desired. Self-service/web based application experience desired. Ability to use query and report generation tools. Proficient in the use of Microsoft applications.


SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY  

Decisions made with understanding of procedures and company policies to achieve set results and deadlines. Errors in judgment may cause short-term impact to co-workers and supervisor.
