Compliance Manager
Location: Lomas de Chapultepec, Mexico City (Hybrid: 3 days onsite / 2 days remote)
Role Overview:
This role leads the Compliance team in Mexico and oversees a high volume of Due Diligence, KYC, and AML activities. The Compliance Manager is responsible for risk assessment, escalations, decision-making on complex cases, and ensuring compliance processes are accurate, efficient, and aligned with regulatory requirements and business needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and coach a team of ~5 Compliance professionals.
- Oversee high-volume Due Diligence and KYC reviews, including Enhanced Due Diligence.
- Act as owner for escalations and compliance risk decisions.
- Review financial information and client documentation.
- Ensure adherence to AML regulations and internal compliance policies.
- Drive continuous improvement of compliance processes and reporting.
- Lead ongoing team training and promote a strong compliance culture.
- Communicate findings and risks to management.
Required Profile:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
- 4–5 years of experience in Compliance, Due Diligence, KYC, and/or AML, including people management experience.
- Strong knowledge of AML regulations, KYC requirements, and Due Diligence processes.
- Proven ability to handle high-volume and complex compliance reviews.
- Comfort making decisions and managing escalations and risk assessments.
- Experience analyzing financial information and client documentation.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Strong English proficiency (written and verbal).
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office tools.
- Proactive mindset with the ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment.
