About the Role

Ever wondered who keeps the lights on, the systems humming, and the power flowing smoothly when everyone else is asleep? That's where you come in! As a CBRE Electrician, you're the nocturnal guardian of our facilities, ensuring the critical electrical and mechanical systems are always in top shape. You'll be on the front lines, inspecting, repairing, and maintaining the crucial infrastructure that powers our clients' operations, from lighting to complex machinery. This isn't just a job; it's about being the proactive problem-solver and the skilled hand that keeps everything running flawlessly, even in the quiet hours. This is a key 3rd shift position, with a regular schedule from midnight to 8 AM, where your expertise directly contributes to the reliability and safety of our managed environments.

What You'll Do

  • Oversee the general operation, repair, and maintenance of electrical and lighting systems, performing new installations of equipment as needed.
  • Inspect, repair, and replace functional components of electrical and lighting systems, including valves, motors, controls, switches, gauges, wiring, fans, pumps, compressors, condensers, cores, and pipes.
  • Ensure all equipment is maintained and operated in a safe manner, adhering to all safety protocols and regulations.
  • Review historical maintenance records to develop and implement proactive inspection, testing, and preventive maintenance schedules.
  • Provide efficient and reliable service to customers, effectively communicating status and solutions.
  • Apply general knowledge of standard principles, techniques, and procedures to accomplish assigned tasks and solve routine problems effectively.
  • Utilize a broad knowledge of your electrical discipline, along with some understanding of related job disciplines within the engineering function.
  • Lead by example, modeling behaviors consistent with CBRE's RISE (Respect, Integrity, Service, Excellence) values, and capable of influencing others to reach agreements.
  • Positively impact the quality of your own work and contribute to the overall success of the team.
  • Work primarily within standardized procedures and practices to achieve objectives and meet deadlines under minimal supervision.
  • Clearly explain technical or complex information to others in straightforward situations.
What You’ll Need:
  • High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 3-4 years of job-related experience. Completion of a formal apprenticeship program preferred. Master Electrician license required as dictated by local electrical codes. Valid Driver's license required.
  • Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Understanding of existing procedures and standards to solve slightly complex problems.
  • Ability to analyze possible solutions using technical experience to apply appropriate judgment and precedents.
  • Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
  • Advanced math skills: add, subtract, multiply, divide. Ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages discounts and commissions.
