EMEA Finance Manager
About the role:
As an EMEA Finance Manager, you will be responsible for managing group and statutory reporting activities for the EMEA non-operating entities that are under your responsibility. You will be expected to manage the group reporting expectations and statutory reporting obligations, in coordination with business partners, shared services organizations, service providers and the external auditors, and ensuring the timeliness, completeness and accuracy of key close and reporting activities.
This job is part of the CBRE Global Consolidations team, is based in Poland with remote working arrangement.
What you’ll do:
- Manage the monthly, quarterly and yearly accounting close and group reporting activities of the EMEA non-operating entities
- Work with the shared services organizations to ensure the timely closing of the legal entity ledgers and their submission to the global consolidations tool
- Coordinate the statutory accounts preparation process, including interaction with the third-party preparers
- Act as primary contact with the external auditors and get fully involved in the statutory audit process
- Act as a key liaison between the external auditors and the other stakeholders (Tax, Treasury, Legal)
- Support the local statutory audits, including responding to audit queries
- Ensure that standard accounting policies, practices, and procedures are being consistently utilized and applied within the entities portfolio
- Monitor and enhance monthly close process, including analysis of opportunities for improvement; participates in the implementation of operating procedures to improve efficiency
- Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, business partners and service providers to ensure effective communication and timeliness, completeness and accuracy of reporting activities
- Contribute to key accounting projects and global initiatives led by the group
- Ensure the appropriate implementation of applicable policies and procedures
- Lead by example and models behaviors that are consistent with the company's values
What you’ll need:
- Qualified financial accountant (ACCA, ACA or equivalent)
- At least 3+ years post qualification accounting experience
- US GAAP or IFRS experience required, UK GAAP experience will be a significant advantage
- Statutory audit experience is required
- Experience working in a multinational environment will be highly preferred
- Experienced in regular use of financial systems (Peoplesoft and One Stream is an advantage)
- Ability to work in an international SOX environment
- Having the flexibility to adapt to change and to a dynamic and fast-paced environment
- Ability to work with multiple stakeholders, business partners, service providers
- Ability to multi-task and to effectively manage priorities
- Ability to problem-solve, both independently and working as a team
- Strong analytical and problem resolution skills, including the ability to research and simplify complex situations
- Extensive organizational skills with a strong inquisitive mindset
- Accurate and strong attention to detail
- Management skills
