CBRE’s Development & Infrastructure team partners with public and private sector clients to deliver complex, high value developments across planning, design and construction. Our Sydney team supports major projects through disciplined governance, strong commercial management and trusted client relationships, leveraging CBRE’s integrated advisory and delivery platform.


Here’s what you’ll focus on:

  • Client & Stakeholder Leadership: Acting as the client’s day to day representative and single point of accountability across builders, consultants and authorities, managing strong relationships and expectations. 
  • Development & Feasibility Management: Supporting projects from early feasibility through delivery, including input into site feasibility, development strategies, budgets, programs, risk profiling and approvals pathways to enable informed development decisions.
  • Design & Approvals Management: Leading design coordination and development to ensure alignment with the brief, budget and statutory requirements, including management of planning approvals and conditions. 
  • Commercial & Procurement Oversight: Supporting procurement strategies, tenders and contract administration, including variations, claims and commercial risk management. 
  • Cost, Programme & Risk Management: Working closely with the QS and builder to manage budgets, cashflow, programmes, risks and delivery outcomes. 
  • Delivery, Quality & Compliance: Monitoring construction delivery, quality standards, inspections, testing, commissioning and compliance outcomes. 
  • Completion & Close Out: Managing practical completion, handover, defects, DLP and final project close out.
  • Client Engagement & Business Development: Managing ongoing client relationships, identifying opportunities to add value, and supporting repeat works and business growth. 

About you:

  • Proven experience in project, design or development management within construction or development environments.
  • Background in senior project roles such as Senior Project Engineer, Project Manager, Design Manager or Development Manager, ideally with 10+ years industry experience.
  • Strong understanding of the end to end development lifecycle, from feasibility and approvals through to construction and handover.
  • Strong delivery focus, with contractor side or construction experience highly regarded.
  • Commercially astute with sound development feasibility, contract and consultant management capability. 
  • Confident communicator able to manage multiple senior stakeholders and lead internal and external teams.
  • Organised, proactive and comfortable taking ownership of outcomes and decision-making.
  • Able to step into an existing project and add value quickly.
