Role: Meeting & Events Manager
Location: Henrietta House, London
Working patterns: 5 days onsite, hours are in shift patterns between 7am - 11pm (Shift patterns), 40 hours per weeks
Managing: 4 direct reports

The Events Manager is accountable for delivering world class meeting and event experiences at Henrietta House, CBRE’s EMEA Headquarters in Bond Street. This Associate Director–level role combines strategic ownership of the events programme with strong people leadership, ensuring all events reflect CBRE’s commitment to excellence, innovation, and client centric service.

The role holds end to end accountability for a high volume programme of client and internal meetings and events (circa 100 per month), ranging from executive and fine dining meetings to client receptions, Summer BBQs, and engagement events. The Events Manager owns the programme from initial booking through delivery and post event insight, ensuring consistent premium standards across all event spaces.

Leading a team of four, including a Senior Events Coordinator and Events Coordinators, the Events Manager sets clear direction, priorities, and standards, while enabling the team to deliver operational excellence. This is a dynamic leadership role requiring strong judgement, organisational capability, and a passion for creating memorable corporate experiences at scale.

What you will be doing
Event Delivery & Operations
  • Strategic ownership of the meetings and events programme at Henrietta House.
  • Own the delivery and performance of a high volume events programme (circa 100 events per month), ensuring consistency, quality, and resilience at scale.
  • Lead and develop the Events team, setting clear priorities, direction, and accountability for delivery.
  • Act as a strategic partner to the Workplace Experience Director to shape, evolve, and continuously raise service standards across the events programme.
  • Use data, insights, and performance metrics to inform decisions, influence service evolution, and support senior leadership reporting.
  • Accountable for event related budgets, cost control, forecasting, and value delivery within agreed frameworks.
  • Ensure event spaces consistently meet premium readiness and presentation standards, with accountability embedded across the Events team.
  • Monitor event KPIs and identify trends and opportunities to improve quality, efficiency, and guest experience.
  • Own the full event lifecycle, ensuring requirements are clearly scoped, planned, and delivered to CBRE’s premium standards.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to Senior Leadership and their support teams on event feasibility, prioritisation, and experience outcomes.
  • Set clear accountability for room readiness, layouts, and technical requirements in partnership with Catering, AV, and Front of House teams.
  • Coach and collaborate with the Senior Events Coordinator to balance volume, capability, and delivery quality.
  • Partner effectively with Catering, AV, and Front of House teams to ensure seamless, high quality experiences.
  • Maintain senior oversight of live event delivery, acting as escalation point where required.
  • Work closely with the Catering team to ensure accurate, budget compliant quotations and timely business approvals.
  • Ensure effective use of the Rendezvous booking system, with accurate data, timely updates, and correct cross charging information.
  • Support the wider workplace experience agenda through additional responsibilities as required.

Systems & Administration
  • Own and champion events systems and processes, including Korbyt and Rendezvous, ensuring governance, accuracy, and best practice.
  • Identify opportunities to optimise space utilisation, booking efficiency, and operational workflows.
  • Ensure effective administration and planning processes are in place across the Events team.
  • Align Henrietta House event practices with the wider EMEA Events network to ensure consistency and continuous improvement.

Leadership 
  • Provide clear leadership, coaching, and direction to the Senior Events Coordinator and Events Coordinators.
  • Conduct regular 1:1s focused on performance, development, and wellbeing.
  • Set and manage workload prioritisation in line with business demand and team capacity.
  • Oversee rota planning and operational decision making through the Senior Events Coordinator.
  • Foster a collaborative, high performing culture centred on accountability, service excellence, and continuous improvement.

Safety
  • Ensure compliance with all HSE policies, procedures, and training requirements.
  • Promote a safe working environment, escalating risks and stopping work where necessary.
  • Participate in HSE programmes, audits, and incident reviews as required.
  • Ensure appropriate use of PPE and manual handling practices.
Additional Responsibilities:
Perform other duties as assigned to help the wider workplace experience team.

  • Success in this role is measured through stakeholder satisfaction, operational performance, and the reputation of Henrietta House as a flagship destination for corporate events.
  • A minimum of 3 years of management experience managing high-performing teams, as well as 5 years of delivering corporate/high-level events. 
  • Knowledge of booking systems is essential.
  • Proven experience in high-level event coordination or hospitality management, ideally within a corporate or premium environment.
  • A passion for delivering exceptional client service and engaging with visitors and clients.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach and motivate a team.
  • Exceptional organisational and time-management abilities.
  • Proficiency in event management systems (Korbyt experience desirable).
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to write reports and respond to common inquiries or complaints.
  • A proactive mindset with a passion for delivering outstanding client experiences, with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work flexible work schedules based on office needs.
