Global Accounting Manager, CBRE Investment Management

About The Role:
The Global Accounting Manager will play a key role in the fast-paced and collaborative CBRE Investment Management Global Controllership Team, overseeing core financial close, reporting, and control processes. This position is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely consolidated financial reporting, maintaining strong internal controls, and providing meaningful financial analysis to support leadership, project teams, and auditors. The successful candidate will be detail oriented, have a sound knowledge of U.S. GAAP, excellent communication and time management skills, and analytically strong, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
What You’ll Do:
- Prepare and review various monthly and quarterly complex journal entries including global allocation and intercompany recharge accrual entries.
- Lead the consolidation, preparation, and review of monthly and quarterly financial reporting deliverables, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness.
- Collaborate closely with international accounting teams.
- Assist with audit and review processes, including preparation of supporting schedules, responding to inquiries, and addressing follow‑up items.
- Ensure the Company’s investment transactions are approved and funded in a timely manner.
- Maintain detailed documentation and support schedules for the Company’s equity method investments.
- Perform cash flow analysis and balance sheet analysis, identifying trends, risks, and variances and clearly communicating insights to stakeholders.
- Leverage data visualization and reporting tools including Power BI to enhance financial analysis and monitor internal controls
- Respond to ad hoc requests from senior leadership, project teams, and external and internal auditors, providing clear, well‑supported financial information.
- Asses current practices and procedures and design improvements and global standardization.
Identify opportunities to improve processes, enhance efficiencies, and strengthen reporting and control environments in a fast‑moving global organization.
What You’ll Need:
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Knowledge of U.S. public company internal control and reporting requirements.
- Thorough knowledge of U.S. GAAP. Requires knowledge of financial terms and principles.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate across functional areas and geographic regions.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office suite applications.
- Experience with other financial systems.
- Ability to design and produce various ad- hoc reports.
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future
Nice to Have:
- Financial services experience, particularly asset management accounting.
- Experience creating and maintaining PowerBI dashboards and PeopleSoft queries are preferred.
- Experience working in a multinational company or an organization with complex intercompany relationships.
- CPA with public accounting experience.
CBRE Investment Management carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for this position is $130,000 annually and the maximum salary for the position is $135,000 annually. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates may also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE’s applicable benefit program.
