About the Role:

As a CBRE Software Engineer Principal, you will develop, maintain, and enhance client systems, as well as evaluate, design, and develop new features. This job is part of the Software Engineering job function. They are responsible for successfully executing and monitoring system improvements to increase efficiency.

What You’ll Do:
  • Act as a thought partner to business and product teams, identifying high-impact opportunities where data science can drive strategic value. 
  • Collaborate with product, engineering, and business stakeholders to identify opportunities for leveraging data to drive business solutions. 
  • Design and implement robust data pipelines and machine learning models to solve complex business problems. 
  • Architect and develop full-stack applications with scalable backend and responsive frontend and deploy cloud-native solutions on AWS and Azure. 
  • Translate business requirements into technical solutions with a focus on scalability, performance, and accuracy. 
  • Drive strategic initiatives by applying advanced analytics and experimentation techniques. 
  • Ensure data quality, governance, and compliance across all data science initiatives. 
  • Foster a culture of experimentation, continuous learning, and rapid iteration.  
  • Communicate insights and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, influencing decision-making at all levels. 

What You’ll Need:
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field. 
  • 10+ years of hands-on experience in software development. 
  • Strong command of Python, Java, ReactJS, and Node.js. 
  • Proficiency in SQL and working with relational databases. 
  • Strong understanding of statistical modelling, A/B testing, and data mining techniques.  
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP) and big data technologies (Spark, Hadoop).  
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
