About the Role:
This is a full-time and on-site, hybrid or work from home is not an option.
The successful candidate will perform electrical and mechanical maintenance to equipment and building services. Assures the equipment is being maintained in a safe manner. Minimizes down time through proactive testing and scheduled maintenance.
What You’ll Do:
- Assign tasks to team members. Ensure all duties are done in a timely manner.
- Install, repair, adjust, service and maintain electric or pneumatic control systems used for building heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems and equipment, including calibration of related instruments, gauges, and control components.
- Inspect and conduct ongoing maintenance on building HVAC equipment to ensure proper operation of equipment and compliance with all applicable codes, regulations, and work safety.
- Troubleshoot equipment failures and identify the best course of action for equipment modifications.
- Apply in-depth knowledge of standard principles and procedures to accomplish complex assignments and provide innovative solutions.
- Coach others and share in-depth knowledge of own job discipline and broad knowledge of several job disciplines within the function.
- Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Work to build consensus and convince others to reach an agreement.
- Impact a range of customer, operational, project or service activities within own team and other related teams.
- Work within broad guidelines and policies.
- Explain difficult or sensitive information.
What you’ll need
- Industrial and Manufacturing experience is required.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) plus a minimum of seven years experience as a certified refrigerant technician. Completion a formal apprenticeship program preferred.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Certification in two or more of the following: Electrical, mechanical, HVAC and refrigeration systems, process controls, mechanical power transmissions, painting, plumbing, carpentry, or engine repair as well as CFC Certification.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable, and courteous service to customers. Ability to effectively present information.
- Requires knowledge of financial terms and principles and to understand operating budgets. Ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages, discounts, and/or commissions. Conducts basic financial analysis.
- Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret documents. Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations. Requires intermediate analytical and quantitative skills.
- Uses personal computer and / or PDA for work order system, email, ESS, and training. Basic skills with Microsoft Office Outlook. Physical requirements include stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs / ladders and ability to lift / carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.

The minimum salary for the HVAC Engineer position is $85,000 annually and the maximum salary for the HVAC Engineer position is $105,000 annually. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience.
