This role focuses on managing and optimizing Vulnerability Management security solutions, with a strong emphasis on Nucleus. The ideal candidate will have foundational knowledge of cybersecurity principles, vulnerability management security technologies, and a willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment.

What You'll Do
  • Assist in the configuration, tuning, and operational support of vulnerability tooling such as Tenable, Rapid7, Nucleus, CyCognito, Censys, and related platforms.
  • Build or enhance basic automation for ingestion, normalization, and enrichment of vulnerability data using scripting languages and platform APIs.
  • Support integrations between scanners, cloud environments, ticketing systems, and Nucleus workflows.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers on platform tuning, connector development, and improving scanning/analytics pipelines.
  • Participate in validation and troubleshooting of scanner connectivity, API integrations, and data quality issues.
  • Document processes, system configurations, integration points, and troubleshooting procedures for internal engineering knowledge bases.
  • Stay current with vulnerability technology trends, modern scanning approaches, and automation patterns relevant to Vulnerability Management.
What You'll Need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related technical discipline (or equivalent experience).
  • Foundational understanding of cybersecurity principles and cloud computing concepts.
  • Intermediate understanding of networking fundamentals (OSI Model, TCP/IP, ports/protocols, routing, DNS).
  • 3-5 years of working experience in at least one programming language (such as Python, Java, C++, etc.).
  • Basic understanding of how vulnerability scanning works (authenticated vs. unauthenticated, agents, APIs).
  • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot platform integration issues.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a willingness to learn in a fast‑paced engineering environment.
