THE TEAM

For our CBRE DCS department, which offers the operation of locations with critical installations, we are currently seeking a skilled and goal-oriented Critical Facility Manager with great initiative to take responsibility for leading our delivery at one of our clients located in Japan.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead a team of technicians working on technical maintenance, building maintenance, and critical facilities. 
  • Develop client relationships and drive business growth. 
  • Ensure compliance with CBRE's and the client's processes, needs, and expectations. 
  • Plan and document work in detail, following all standards. 
  • Provide clear leadership and effective communication of contractual obligations. 
  • Identify opportunities for strategic development and secure contract retention during tender processes. 
  • Maintain a close professional relationship with the client and provide advice, guidance, and knowledge sharing. 
  • Manage the team, including shift planning, coaching, employee development, recruitment, and goal achievement. 
  • Manage the operation, maintenance, supervision, and security of critical infrastructure equipment and systems on-site. 
  • Ensure 100% uptime of the facility at all times.
  • Take financial responsibility, including planning, budgeting, cost control, and reporting.
  • Collaborate closely with subcontractors to ensure delivery in line with standards. 
  • Handle project management tasks as needed. · Report to Alliance Director who is located outside Japan. 
  • Strategically plan and develop long term opportunities by creating a pipeline of potential orders in Japan. 
  • Responsible for initiating and delivering operational opportunities and P&L.


REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

  • Business level of English and High business level of Japanese
  • Technical background (electrical, mechanical, or similar). 
  • 3-5 years of leadership experience. 
  • Preferably experience working in critical environments. 
  • Flexible mindset to handle a wide range of responsibilities. 
  • Clear communication that creates trust and influence. 
  • Set a good example and motivate the team, client, and suppliers. 
  • Goal-oriented and a good facilitator. 
  • Attention to detail and ability to remain calm in stressful situations. 
  • Structured, reliable, and proactive in taking initiative. 
  • Maintain a professional demeanor when interacting with clients, subcontractors, and colleagues.
