We're looking for a skilled Applications Engineer to design, implement, and optimize Building Management Systems for one of our key clients. In this role, you will play a vital part in delivering efficient and sustainable building solutions, including system integration, user interface design, on-site commissioning, and ongoing support. What You Will Do:
  • Oversee the master systems integration of BMS, ensuring seamless operation and integration across various building systems.
  • Engineer user interfaces and configure control systems based on project specifications and sales proposals, delivering intuitive and functional solutions for clients.
  • Program control applications for operator workstations, DDC field panels, and third‑party integration devices, ensuring compatibility and efficient performance.
  • Conduct on‑site system checkout, commissioning, and testing to verify proper operation in accordance with project specifications and design documentation.
  • Provide on‑site and remote technical support to installers and customers, including system training.
  • Diagnose system issues, determine corrective actions, and restore systems to proper operating conditions.
  • Manage assigned projects to ensure they are completed on schedule and within budget, coordinating with contractors and ensuring successful execution.
  • Act as a technical liaison between the owner, construction managers, and other project stakeholders to support effective communication and collaboration.
  • Develop system graphical user interfaces based on project specifications or sales proposals.
  • Perform final walkthroughs with owners and construction managers to ensure all punch‑list items are completed and obtain sign‑off for substantial completion.


What You Will Need:
  • Degree in HVAC, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering, with a minimum of three years of relevant experience, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Proficiency in programming logic using flow diagrams, sequences of operation, panel layouts, and termination details.
  • Fluent English; additional languages (German, French) are a plus.
  • Experience using software tools for control application programming.
  • Experience in system analysis and diagnostics.
  • Familiarity with control and HVAC systems and associated terminology.
  • Experience in BMS commissioning, programming, and user interface engineering.
  • Knowledge of BMS software platforms such as Tridium Niagara or similar.
  • Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret technical documents and to solve complex problems.
  • Strong problem‑solving and communication skills, with the ability to work independently.
  • A valid driver’s license is an asset.
