CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is a leading global provider of integrated facilities and corporate real estate management. We are recruiting a Technical Services Coordinator for one of our clients in the technology sector to join the team, focusing on a significant HQ Trophy Asset in Dublin City Center. The successful candidate will provide Fabric maintenance and other services support to CBRE as part of the maintenance and operations team, and ensure operations, maintenance and repairs are carried out in compliance to relevant SLAs, SOP’s and GxP requirements where required.
The role requires an individual with a customer focused proactive attitude, technical strengths, and strong people management skills combined with an ability to communicate effectively under constant pressure with a multitude of stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in creating and supporting the highest standards of service environments, and a proactive, detail-oriented leader who can merge high-level service standards with operational efficiency to create a truly exceptional workplace.
Key Accountabilities
● To manage and inspire a team of fabric technicians responsible for routine preventative, reactive and remedial building fabric maintenance. Typical activities may include minor civil repairs on buildings, furniture repairs, equipment removal, carpentry, plumbing, painting, joinery, facade maintenance, drain or gutter maintenance, sweeping, snow or ice clearance, door maintenance, and roof maintenance.
● Responsible for the coordination of routine preventative, reactive and remedial maintenance of lifts, fall arrest systems, automatic doors and gates, and swing lanes.
● To ensure PM reports for all services are received, all remedial actions are brought to the attention of relevant stakeholders, and repairs are completed in a timely manner.
● Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) focused on client & employee satisfaction, service quality, and operational efficiency.
● Support other CBRE site functions in delivering exceptional service to our client.
● Ensure all health, safety and environmental requirements are fulfilled prior to work commencement.
● Ensure all work activities are carried out within agreed timelines, while ensuring safe systems of work (RA, MS, SPA and Permits) are adhered to.
● To complete small projects when necessary, with full responsibility from planning, ordering parts,
installation, testing, commissioning and documentation.
● To update and utilise site CMMS and Asana systems for recording of work activities.
● Assist in keeping buildings and work areas or storage areas clean and tidy.
● To adopt a right-first-time attitude, continuous improvement policy and pride in one’s work to attain the highest levels of craftsmanship.
● Assist with the direct supervision of CBRE vendors/contractors on site to ensure a comprehensive Contractor Management.
● To be flexible and adaptable to new working methods, practices, plant, equipment or procedures.
● Candidates will be able to work both independently and as part of a growing team.
● Manage vendor and supply partner relationships for the site, ensuring all external service
providers adhere to the highest standards of quality and service professionalism.
● Implement a continuous improvement program for the site, soliciting feedback and using data to
refine service offerings and improve the physical environment.
Stakeholder Management and Communication
● Serve as a key point of contact for internal stakeholders regarding physical environment and workplace experience.
● Effectively communicate service performance, updates, and operational metrics to stakeholders through regular reports.
● Create and lead proactive customer responsive culture providing solutions.
● Provide best practices along with an effective and efficient service in response to changing customer needs.
● Budget forecasting and management.
Experience Required
● Minimum of 5 years experience in facilities management or building services industry/consultancy managing teams.
● Expertise or familiarity with M&E equipment, carpentry background prefered
● Experience in project management and overseeing the work of external contractors.
● Strong solid work experience in large multi-national industry
● CMMS Systems
Skills and Competencies
● Customer focused, with good Customer Relationship Management experience.
● Solid written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all organizational levels.
● Understanding of health, safety, and compliance regulations relevant to large commercial properties in Ireland.
● Proven leader who motivates teams to effectively deliver operational targets.
● Hands-on management experience in delivering services detail-oriented approach to execution.
● Highly customer focused, with good Customer Relationship Management experience.
● Skilled communicator and presenter in small groups.
