Position Overview:
The Senior Technician supports the maintenance, repair, and operational integrity of campus facilities and systems. This hands-on role leads and executes daily preventive and corrective maintenance tasks, supports system upgrades, and ensures compliance with client's safety and quality standards.

Core Responsibilities:

1. Maintenance and Repair
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on M&E, HVAC, plumbing, fire systems, lighting, and structural elements.
  • Conduct troubleshooting and repairs on minor faults across all facilities systems.
2. Compliance and Safety
  • Ensure all work complies with Malaysian regulations and internal safety protocols.
  • Support inspections and audits for regulatory certifications (e.g., fire safety, DOSH compliance).
3. Preventive Maintenance Scheduling
  • Execute assigned preventive maintenance tasks according to CMMS schedules.
  • Maintain maintenance checklists and update service records accurately.
4. Support for Utilities and Specialist Systems
  • Assist Utilities Engineer and external vendors during complex maintenance and repair works.
  • Support operation and monitoring of critical systems (e.g., HT/LV panels, HVAC plant rooms, water systems).
5. Vendor Coordination
  • Escort and supervise contractors and vendors on-site.
  • Verify completion and quality of outsourced repairs before acceptance.
6. Emergency Respons
  • Act as first responder for urgent facilities issues (e.g., leaks, electrical faults, system alarms).
  • Participate in on-call emergency duty roster as required.
7. Reporting and Documentation
  • Complete daily service reports, incident logs, and update maintenance records.
  • Escalate major issues promptly to the Hard Services Manager.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
  • Certificate, Diploma, or equivalent in Electrical, Mechanical, Plumbing, or Building Services Engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years’ hands-on facilities maintenance experience.
  • Strong skills in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and basic fire systems.
  • Knowledge of Malaysian safety and compliance standards.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and O&M manuals.
  • Proficient in CMMS usage and basic Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive, service-oriented attitude.
