About the Role:
As an integral member of the Portfolio Management team, the Loan Servicing Senior Analyst position is highly interactive within our internal organization, as well as with lenders, borrowers, and loan production professionals. This position requires the ability to perform customer relationship functions, abstracting of loan and transactional documents, compliance and quality control, and the ability to resolve a wide variety of issues relating to Commercial Loan Servicing. All duties are conducted in support of and under the supervision of Portfolio Managers.
What You’ll Do:
- Primary contact for borrower inquiries pertaining to commercial loan servicing requests and issues.
- Liaison between Portfolio Management and Loan Servicing teams; work with both teams to meet borrower needs, coordinate requests and post-closing transactions.
- Respond to borrower inquiries within a specified time frame and decide appropriate action in order to obtain completion to borrower’s satisfaction.
- Provide excellent customer service and problem resolution for borrowers and internal customers.
- Delinquent loan administration including correspondence with borrowers to investigate and obtain delinquent payments and submissions through the reporting component for HUD (MDDR).
- Assist Asset/Portfolio Manager(s) with processing borrower requests relating to a wide variety of issues involving commercial loans including various reserve disbursements, property management changes, easements, partial releases of collateral, condemnations, loan modifications, loan assumptions, transfers of interest and other real estate related transactions in coordination with the local HUD office. Assistance may include engagement of counsel, inventory of required documentation; abstracting of loan and transactional documents; correspondence with borrowers, counsel and/or HUD; and analysis, review and formal written presentations for less complex requests.
- Closely work with respective Portfolio Manager and team members to administer all issues relating to monitoring, preserving, and enhancing the investment profile of commercial loans and their underlying collateral. Responsibility includes coordination of monthly proactive meeting to ensure timely payment of all escrows, UCC renewals, letter or credit monitoring, REAC inspection tracking and tickler management.
- Quality control process involvement to ensure timely and accurate compliance with loan documents, servicing requirements, and documentation of system records. Responsibility includes new loan set up review, disbursement package review and bank account reconciliations.
- Coordination of required documentation for audits and compliance reviews.

What You’ll Need:
- Bachelor's Degree preferred with 2-5 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
- Understanding of existing procedures and standards to solve slightly complex problems.
- Ability to analyze possible solutions using technical experience to apply appropriate judgment and precedents.
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
- Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
- Advanced math skills. Ability to calculate complicated figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations.
