Job Purpose:
The Senior Laboratory Support Associate (SSLA), at our life sciences client site in Oxford is a key role within our team. Reporting to the CBRE UK Cluster Lead, you’ll be a highly organised and dynamic individual and will work closely with the CBRE/Client team to provide critical support supervising the Laboratory Operations and Coordinating the Companies Laboratory Procedures; to ensure the smooth and seamlessly within the laboratories.


Duties:
  • Coordinate Laboratory asset Management Programme (LAMP) - Ensure all laboratory equipment is properly maintained and calibrated
  • Work with Vendors and third party sub-contractors to schedule breakdowns and Schedule routine Preventative maintenance for Laboratory equipment
  • Responsible for raising purchase orders via CMMS system, and liaising with colleagues in Foster city to track and complete to resolution
  • Arrange on boarding of new vendors with the clients finance team
  • Ordering stock via Clients ordering system
  • Stock management via monitored stock list
  • Receiving and checking in deliveries
  • Replenishing stock in Labs
  • Dishwashing Lab glassware
  • Lab waste management- collecting, and taking down for collection, replacement bins
  • Liquid waste management with third party vendor
  • Ensuring Chemical waste inventory is kept up to date
  • Utilising Chemwatch to ensure incoming deliveries are checked, quarantined until COSHH assessments complete
  • Assist with Ad.hoc projects that enable to growth and continual improvement of the Labs and process’s and their efficiency

Qualifications & Experience:

  • The role holder will have a “can-do” attitude and work closely with management.  Effective communicator at all levels to ensure effective laboratory operational needs are met

  • Experience in a similar role and with a passion for employee experience 
  • A team player who understands the value of cooperative and collaborative work environment
  • A professional demeanor with Excellent communication skill at all levels
  • Solutions focused mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Proven track record of successfully operating within  Lab based services in Research environments. 
  • Excellent internal and external customer service skills with good verbal and written communication skills to drive tasks to completion
  • Strong attention to detail; good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise with changing situations.
  • Have a high level of focus, and deliver within high pressure, business critical environments from both a reactive and proactive basis.
