About the Role
CBRE is seeking an experienced and proactive Marketing Account Manager, who will be responsible for shaping and delivering the marketing strategy for a key client’s national retail portfolio, including shopping centres and retail parks located across the UK.  This role requires travel across the UK to client sites.

What You’ll Do

Portfolio Oversight & Client Coordination
  • Act as the primary marketing contact for the client, providing updates, reporting, and performance insights.
  • Establish a central marketing solution for client’s retail portfolio to be delivered as a coherent service across all assets.
  • Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual reports as required.
  • Work collaboratively with centre directors, asset managers, onsite teams, and client stakeholders to align strategic priorities.

Budget & Supply Chain Management
  • Manage the portfolio marketing budget, ensuring effective allocation and demonstrable value for money.
  • Lead and manage relationships with external suppliers and agencies, ensuring contracts deliver against KPIs.
  • Identify opportunities to deliver marketing cost efficiencies taking a portfolio-led approach.
  • Monitor supply chain performance and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

Onsite Team Marketing Oversight
  • Provide leadership, coaching and guidance to onsite Marketing Managers and Coordinators across the portfolio, establishing a network for best practice.
  • Drive alignment between onsite delivery and central strategic marketing direction.
  • Support recruitment, training, and development initiatives for marketing personnel within the portfolio.

Digital, PR & Communications
  • Oversee the development of digital channels across the portfolio, including websites, email marketing, and social media, working closely with third-party agencies.
  • Ensure all PR, community engagement and stakeholder communications align with asset positioning and client objectives in partnership with centre management teams.
  • Lead portfolio-level PR opportunities, including crisis communication coordination where required.

Collaboration, Compliance & Best Practise
  • Champion best practice in marketing, placemaking and centre-event programming.
  • Ensure all marketing activities comply with CBRE policies, health & safety standards, and relevant regulations.
  • Contribute to CBRE’s sustainability, ESG, and community engagement commitments through local marketing-led initiatives.

What You’ll Need
  • Strong marketing background, ideally within retail, leisure, or commercial property environments.
  • Proven experience managing multi-site marketing activity or complex client accounts.
  • Confident strategic thinker with experience translating insights into actionable marketing plans.
  • Commercially minded with strong judgement and decision‑making skills.
  • Demonstrable experience managing budgets and evaluating supplier performance.
  • Experience leading or overseeing marketing teams, either directly or through dotted-line structures.
  • Ability to build strong working relationships with clients, partners, onsite teams, and senior stakeholders.
  • Team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Creative, energetic and proactive – able to bring forward new ideas and deliver them effectively.
  • Highly organised with strong project-management capability.
  • Customer-focused and results-driven.
