Develop software solutions that transform how commercial buildings manage all aspects of their energy use and operations activities. This role will be involved in the entire development process, from working with the product and design team members, through development, deployment, testing, and monitoring.
What You Will Do:
• Develop innovative software solutions that transform how commercial buildings manage energy usage and operational activities.
• Participate in the full development lifecycle—from collaborating with product and design teams, through development, deployment, testing, and monitoring.
• Build software applications that support client specific projects or broader business initiatives.
• Work closely with product managers, UX designers, and engineers to create new features and enhance existing experiences.
• Develop effective data visualization tools and applications.
• Design, code, test, and debug software applications to deliver robust, high quality solutions.
• Collaborate with fellow developers through pair programming and peer code reviews.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with a wide range of stakeholders.
What You Will Need:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering
• Preferably 3-5 years of industry experience in software development or working with analytics platforms.
• Familiarity with cloud service providers such as Azure, AWS (Lambda), and/or GCP, and understanding of cloud native system design.
• Experience with JavaScript or TypeScript preferred.
• Strong understanding of software design patterns, SDLC, unit testing, and debugging.
• Knowledge of relational, time series, and/or tag databases.
• Comfortable working in both Windows and Linux server environments.
• Experience writing unit tests and integration tests.
• Familiarity with software development tools including code repositories, build tools, and agile lifecycle management platforms.
• Fluent English.
• Ability to work independently.
• Prior knowledge of building automation systems (HVAC, lighting) is a plus.
