About the Opportunity:

As a Union Mobile Engineer, you will play a crucial role in delivering superior outcomes by managing hands-on support for the installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of large chiller systems across multiple job sites.

What You’ll Do:
  • Chiller Operation & Maintenance: Operate, maintain, and repair large chiller systems (600 tons and above) in the field to meet operational standards.
  • Preventative Maintenance: Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on mobile chiller units to minimize downtime and extend system lifespan.
  • Diagnosis & Repair: Evaluate and diagnose mechanical and electrical malfunctions; implement effective repair strategies promptly.
  • System Monitoring: Monitor system performance and make necessary adjustments using control software and diagnostic tools.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with safety laws, industry standards, and company policies at each job site.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and service reports for all chiller systems serviced.
  • Emergency Response: Participate in after-hours on-call support and emergency response as required.
What You’ll Need:
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; degree in engineering, HVAC technology, or a related field preferred.
  • Certification: Valid journeyman certification or equivalent experience in a similar mobile engineering role.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience working with large chiller systems (600 tons or more).
  • EPA Certification: Universal EPA certification required.
  • Technical Skills: Strong understanding of HVAC principles, chiller mechanics, and control systems. Proficient in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical and electrical systems on-site.
