About the Role:
As a CBRE Occupancy Planning Senior Manager, you will lead a team dedicated to space planning. Your primary responsibilities will include data mining, generating reports, and interpreting key metrics to address client requirements.
This onsite role, based in the Phoenix area, is integral to the Moves, Additions, and Changes function, which oversees building space design, construction, and moving services.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and develop the Occupancy Planning team, providing direct people leadership including performance management, coaching, training, recruiting, and onboarding while fostering a high-performing, collaborative culture.
- Oversee day-to-day OP operations and delivery, setting priorities, assigning work, establishing schedules and deadlines, ensuring appropriate resourcing and cross-training, and maintaining accountability to client and departmental commitments.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to the client, building strong client relationships and partnering to develop occupancy and real estate strategies, forecasts, and benchmarks that identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Translate business requirements into actionable space plans by leading client interviews and workshops, synthesizing functional, operational, and cultural needs, and delivering recommendations including conceptual plans, block and stack plans, charters, move lists, and sequencing strategies.
- Oversee the production of complex analyses, drawings, and presentations for senior internal stakeholders and client-facing steering committees, coordinating with Project Management, Change Management, and Move/Construction teams as needed.
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of occupancy data and planning assumptions by leading space walks, validating move plans and destination availability, and maintaining data within the system of record.
- Drive continuous improvement across OP processes and standards, establishing performance objectives and deliverables, improving methods and tools, and implementing space planning standards, code updates, and policy changes.
- Anticipate and solve complex, multi-dimensional challenges, influencing stakeholders to adopt new perspectives while operating within established policies and broader organizational objectives.
- Support successful outcomes beyond delivery, facilitating post-occupancy reviews to confirm execution quality and ensure client expectations are met.
What You’ll Need:
- Bachelor's Degree preferred with 5 - 8 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
- Experience in the areas of staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance and retention is preferred.
- Ability to lead the exchange of sensitive, complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectations and handle problems.
- Leadership skills to motivate the team to achieve broad operational targets with impacts on own job discipline, multiple job disciplines, and department.
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
- Extensive organizational skills and an advanced inquisitive mindset.
- Intermediate math skills. Ability to calculate complicated figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations.
