About the Role

As a CBRE Senior Construction Project Analyst, you will support one of CBRE’s clients within the financial and professional services sector, working onsite at the client’s corporate headquarters in New York City. You will be responsible for overseeing client construction projects while ensuring timelines, safety, compliance, and customer satisfaction objectives are met.

This role operates at the intersection of building operations and construction project delivery, requiring close collaboration with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders to successfully execute work within active, occupied facilities.

This position is part of the Construction Management function and is responsible for ensuring all construction-related deliverables are completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with applicable standards, regulations, and client expectations.

What You’ll Do

  • Conduct periodic inspections to verify work quality and compliance with established standards.
  • Support project reporting by guiding report writers and reviewing Construction Risk Assessments to ensure alignment with client requirements.
  • Establish and maintain project tracking tools, including capturing requirements, developing project plans, and monitoring progress.
  • Review contractor payment requisitions, budgets, change orders, job cost reports, lien waivers, and supporting cost documentation.
  • Validate construction schedules, disbursement plans, agreements, and submitted documentation; recommend release of funds based on progress, compliance, and budget status.
  • Ensure critical work activities are properly planned, coordinated, approved, and executed—typically on a weekly cadence.
  • Partner closely with building Operations teams to ensure work proceeds without disrupting site operations and complies with all applicable regulations and site requirements.
  • Obtain required client approvals prior to execution of critical activities.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders including security, fire life safety, property management, engineering teams, contractors, vendors, and on-site service providers.
  • Serve as a liaison between Operations and Project teams to ensure alignment, clear communication, and safe execution of work in occupied environments.
  • Communicate project scope, schedules, risks, and execution plans clearly to stakeholders with varying levels of technical expertise.
  • Apply working knowledge of construction and operations principles to resolve routine issues and meet project objectives.
  • Model behaviors aligned with CBRE RISE values, contributing to the quality of individual work and the overall effectiveness of the team.

What You’ll Need

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred with 2–5 years of relevant experience; an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered. Working toward or eligible for Professional Engineer (PE) or Registered Architect (RA) licensure is preferred.
  • Experience in commercial or industrial construction management, with the ability to support projects in active, occupied facilities.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and related technical documentation.
  • Foundational knowledge of base building systems (e.g., electrical, mechanical, plumbing, life safety), with an understanding of system functionality and interdependencies rather than handson trade execution.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to solve moderately complex problems by applying technical knowledge, judgment, standards, and established procedures.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Strong organizational skills and an inquisitive, detailoriented mindset.
  • Advanced math and financial skills, including the ability to calculate percentages, fractions, and costrelated figures accurately.
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.
