About the Role

As a CBRE Operations Management Manager, you will oversee a team responsible for planning, managing, and directing business operations for a small to medium-sized client or region. This role requires hands-on leadership, strong operational oversight, and close collaboration with internal and regional partners to support business objectives.

This job is part of the Operations Management function, which is responsible for coordinating staff functions and operational processes that support CBRE’s organizational goals and strategies. In this role, you will lead an onsite team of nine union engineers and technicians, ensuring consistent service delivery, compliance, and operational excellence.

This is a fully onsite position based in Cleveland, Ohio, requiring daily on‑site leadership and direct engagement with employees and stakeholders.


What You’ll Do

  • Provide formal supervision to employees, including training, development, performance evaluations, and ongoing coaching.
  • Oversee recruiting, interviewing, and hiring of new team members in alignment with business and union requirements.
  • Coordinate and manage daily team activities by establishing work schedules, assigning tasks, cross‑training staff, and tracking departmental deadlines.
  • Mentor and coach team members to support growth, engagement, and retention.
  • Prepare ad hoc and recurring data reports related to revenue, expenses, and key business metrics.
  • Evaluate financial and operational trends to identify opportunities for improved performance and cost efficiency.
  • Manage monthly forecasting processes for assigned clients or regions.
  • Ensure compliance with company policy, labor agreements, professional licensing requirements, and applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Maintain data accuracy and integrity across systems used by the team.
  • Partner with regional teams and cross‑functional departments to identify and implement operational best practices.
  • Assist with the development and delivery of training programs, business processes, and system enhancements.
  • Facilitate clear communication of policies, procedures, and initiatives to promote consistency across the region.
  • Lead by example and model behaviors aligned with CBRE RISE values, influencing shared stakeholders to drive alignment and results.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve day‑to‑day operational issues and moderately complex challenges that may not be addressed by existing processes.

What You’ll Need

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred with 3–5 years of relevant experience. A combination of education and experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Prior experience in staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, and performance management preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate sensitive, complex, or difficult information and address performance concerns effectively.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to influence team performance, quality, efficiency, and overall effectiveness.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and related applications.
  • Excellent organizational skills with a proactive, inquisitive, and problem‑solving mindset.
  • Experience working with union employees or within a union environment preferred.

Pay Transparency (Ohio):
The salary range for this position is $95,000 – $125,000 annually. Actual compensation will be determined based on job‑related factors including experience, skills, education, certifications, and internal equity, in accordance with applicable laws.

Background Check:
This position is contingent upon the successful completion of a background investigation and, where applicable, additional screenings consistent with CBRE policies and client requirements.
