About the Role:
As a CBRE Electrician, you will inspect, repair, and maintain mechanical and electrical systems across assigned facilities, ensuring reliable operation of building systems including electrical, plumbing, roofing, painting, and HVAC. You will monitor system performance, perform preventative and corrective maintenance, execute weekly fire pump runs and monthly generator tests, and support large meeting-room set-ups. This role operates in a critical medical environment and requires strong attention to safety, regulatory compliance, and the ability to respond quickly to urgent operational needs.
What You’ll Do:- Oversee electrical and lighting systems' general operation, repair, and maintenance. Perform new installations of equipment.
- Perform maintenance and repairs to the mechanical, plumbing, structural, furniture, fire life safety, and control systems. Keep facility and building systems up to applicable standards as assigned.
- Comply with all the applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency, and company directives related to building operations and work safety.
- Assist with the preventative maintenance program to ensure that building machinery and systems meet or exceed their rated life. Perform emergency repairs as needed.
- Check, repair, and replace functional components of electrical and lighting systems. This includes valves, motors, controls, switches, gauges, wiring, fans, pumps, compressors, condensers, cores, and pipes.
- Assure that equipment is being maintained and operating in a safe manner.
- Review historical maintenance records to create proactive inspection, testing, and preventive maintenance schedules.
- Provide efficient and reliable service to customers.
- Apply general knowledge of standard principles and techniques/procedures to accomplish assigned tasks and solve routine problems.
- Have a broad knowledge of own job discipline and some knowledge of several job disciplines within the function.
- Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. May convince to reach an agreement.
- Impact the quality of own work and the work of others on the team.
- Work primarily within standardized procedures and practices to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.
- Explain complex information to others in straightforward situations.
What You’ll Need:
- High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 3-4 years of job-related experience. Completion of a formal apprenticeship program preferred. 309A Electrical license required as dictated by local electrical codes. Valid Driver's license required.
- Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
- Understanding of existing procedures and standards to solve slightly complex problems.
- Ability to analyze possible solutions using technical experience to apply appropriate judgment and precedents.
- Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
- Advanced math skills: add, subtract, multiply, divide. Ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages discounts and commissions.
