About The Role:
As a CBRE VAS Head of QRM (AMS), you will lead the Quality & Risk Management team across the U.S., Canada, and Mexico partnering with Americas risk professionals. You'll manage the creation, revision, enforcement, oversight, and delivery of the AMS QRM Framework, as directed by the Global Head of QRM and VAS (Valuation & Advisory Services) U.S. President. You will oversee major AMS bank client accounts in the capacity of QRM systems and outcomes to increase our brand.
What You'll Do:
- Drive and deliver initiatives to embed our Core-QRM Operational Concepts into CBRE Workflow Platforms throughout the region.
- Develop and implement strategies for training, continuing education, and mentoring across the VAS business regionally.
- Manage a QRM team of highly skilled and passionate dedicated specialists and/or representatives across the America’s with a clear operational structure.
- Define, review and implement additional practices to manage high risk assignments in alignment with the Global and Americas QRM Framework and as directed by the Global Head of QRM and U.S. VAS President.
- In conjunction with VAS leadership, develop and deliver Risk Management Reporting, and set the “Risk Profile” for the business from a strategic level.
- Create and maintain all registers, licenses, and associated procedures to ensure regulatory, client, and QRM framework requirements are met.
- Ensure all master service agreements and valuation/advisory contracts are executed in accordance with QRM Framework requirements.
- Interface with senior representatives from Legal, Compliance, and Enterprise Risk Management to ensure enterprise-wide requirements are reflected within the QRM Framework.
- Ensuring compliance with the Global and Americas QRM Framework, including:
- Internal Report Review policies.
- Valuer Allocation policies.
- Contract review and negotiation procedure
- Risk Assessment procedures
- Escalation procedures
- Tracking client contracting status.
- Audit procedures

- Bachelor's degree (BA, BS) from College or University required; Master's degree preferred (MA, MS or MBA).
- A minimum of 10 years of commercial property valuation experience required.
- Chief Appraiser experience preferred.
- Valuation review experience and deep knowledge of USPAP standards ideal.
- Applicable Real Estate Appraisal Licenses (State Certified General) and/or professional designations (MAI) preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of financial terms and valuation contracting principles.
- Ability to calculate complex figures as well as forecast and prepare budgets.
- Ability to solve advanced problems and deal with a variety of options in complex situations. Expert level analytical and quantitative skills with proven experience in developing strategic solutions.
- Ability to make decisions with in-depth understanding and interpretation of procedures, company policies, and business practices to achieve business goals.
