As a subject matter expert, you will support end-to-end event planning – from initial site selection and risk assessment, to build-outs, through operation and final load-out. Your mission is to build and scale a "best-in-class" event safety program that addresses complex challenges like high-occupancy crowd dynamics, capacity requirements, environmental impacts, medical response programs, and subcontractor safety compliance.
What You’ll Do:
● Support client teams in providing end-to-end EHS planning, including risk assessments, medical support planning, capacity requirement strategy, and overall site-specific safety plan in coordination with the venue, production, security, and cross functional operational teams.
● Support the development of robust crowd control strategies and occupancies to ensure attendee safety and code compliance.
● Manage vendor and subcontractor safety compliance on behalf of clients, ensuring all third-party partners adhere to our rigorous safety protocols and local regulation during construction and operations.
● Coordinate and oversee event medical support services, ensuring appropriate staffing levels, emergency response protocols, and rapid-response capabilities are integrated into site operation plans.
● Support injury prevention of all attendees and event staff and injury response management of the overall event.
● Serve as a consultant and subject matter expert on EHS related items such as fire & life safety, hazardous materials, regulatory compliance, subcontractor management, injury reporting and investigation, electrical & construction safety in coordination with minimum requirements and EHS standards.
● Develop and test emergency communication protocols, including mass notification systems and evacuation/shelter-in-place procedures
● Monitor and manage environmental risks, including severe weather triggers, air quality, and heat stress, and establish clear 'stop-event' or evacuation thresholds
● Provide ad hoc support to additional projects and/or incident investigations, as needed.
● Ability to travel to event locations within the Americas and other regions on short notice.
What You’ll Need:
● Bachelor's Degree preferred with 3-5 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
● Additional certifications as required by the local authority.
● Ability to guide the exchange of sensitive, complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectations and handle problems.
● Leadership skills to motivate team impact on quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of the job discipline and department.
