About the Role: 

 

As a CBRE Finance Manager, you will manage the team responsible for producing limited output associated with Finance Strategy and Operations, including but not limited to the annual budget preparation, monthly forecasts, strategic planning, and management reporting. This job is part of the Financial Strategy and Operations job function. They are responsible for maintaining accounting, financial, and reporting policies and controls. A Finance Manager supporting clients plays a crucial role in managing financial operations, providing strategic insights, and fostering strong client relationships. This position requires a blend of financial acumen, analytical skills, and excellent communication to effectively serve clients' financial needs and contribute to business growth. 

 

What You’ll Do: 

 

Financial Planning and Analysis: Developing and maintaining, preparing forecasts, budgets, and variance analyses to support decision-making for clients for OPEX and CAPEX. This includes analyzing large volumes of data to identify trends, opportunities, and risks. 

Client Relationship Management: Handling clients' financial needs, concerns, and objectives, ensuring their fiscal matters receive top priority. This is crucial for client retention, business growth, and reputation. 

Financial Reporting: Preparing comprehensive financial reports, such as Operational Expenses by various categories: 3rd party vendor spend (janitorial, landscape, Fire Inspection, plus Utilities by each locations) 

Strategic Financial Guidance: Acting as a key advisor to clients, offering financial insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making, including investment analysis, cost optimization, and pricing strategy to all 3rd party vendors. Review all pricing contracts and make recommendations to seek cost-savings 

Risk Management: Identifying, assessing, and mitigating financial risks for clients, such as market fluctuations, interest rate changes, and credit risks. 

Compliance and Audit: Ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, managing financial audits, and acting as a point of contact for external auditors. 

Operational Oversight: Overseeing day-to-day financial operations, including accounts receivable and payable, and driving continuous improvement in accounting practices. Manages month-end accruals internal processes and client’s specific internal accounting procedures.  

 

What You’ll Need: 

 

Strong Financial and Accounting Knowledge: In-depth understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations, and corporate financial planning. 

Analytical Skills: Ability to interpret large volumes of data, spot anomalies, assess risks, and provide data-driven insights. Tools like Excel, Power BI, and Power Point. Plus you have knowledge of SQL or Macros. 

Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Exceptional ability to communicate complex financial concepts clearly and effectively to clients and internal stakeholders, and to build strong relationships. 

Technical Proficiency: Experience with financial management software (e.g., ERP systems) and strong Excel and modeling skills. 

Problem-Solving and Decision-Making: Ability to identify issues, propose solutions, and make informed financial decisions. 

Client-Centric Approach: A focus on understanding and addressing client needs and objectives. 

Qualifications: A Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is typically required, with minimum 10-years of finance and accounting experience private or public company.

New Jersey Residents: CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the Finance Manager position is $96,000 annually and the maximum salary for the Finance Manager position is $140,000 annually. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE’s applicable benefit program.
