 Data Governance Expert


As a CBRE BSO Portfolio Services Data Governance Expert, you will be accountable for ensuring data consistency and accuracy across dedicated Client real estate portfolios. In the role, you will be accountable for making sure database standards are developed and maintained.

This job is within and acts as senior support to the wider Account Management Team, which is the strategic client-facing part of Portfolio Services department.



What You’ll Do:



  • Accountable for developing and maintaining portfolio and lease administration data integrity, accuracy, quality, and completeness (Ensure Data Management Team is following agreed process).

  • Lead Data Improvement Projects.

  • Propose improvement projects to drive data integrity and improve internal controls.  

  • Management of call-off services such as Base Rent Audits, Service Charge Audits, Client specific requirements and customisations.

  • Portfolio data reporting.

  • Support and closely cooperate with Global Data Managers, acting as their back-up and ongoing consultant for any database management items.

  • Contribute to the strategic division of Account Management, quality initiatives and global client care by making sure high data standards are maintained and constantly improving across clients.

  • Support to Data Management teams in securing information required to close out system updates, lease abstraction and data clean-up projects.

  • Take part in externally client-facing meetings and initiatives related to database management and lease administration holistically.

  • Periodic review of customization and abstraction standards.

  • Act as primary point of contact for all data quality related items.

  • Act as Subject Matter Experts of the database that the Client is operating on.

  • Regular touch point with Client and Account Team in relation to the Data standards.


What You’ll Need:


  • Fluent in spoken and written English.

  • Professional experience in analysing commercial real estate lease documents is a must (preferred candidates originate from Database Management or Rent Management operations with excellent quality results).

  • Strong attention to details and have very good organizational skills.

  • Pro-activity and flexibility.

  • Strong communication, analytical and problem solving skills.

  • Interest and experience in data monitoring dashboards, openness to automations and tools including development and testing.

  • Reliable, committed, team player, and fast learner.

  • Very good knowledge of MS Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

  • Able to work under time pressure to meet deadlines while managing conflicting priorities.
