We are seeking a highly skilled BMS & Controls Engineer to take ownership of the automated environment within a premier facility. This role is designed for a technical specialist who can bridge the gap between traditional mechanical plant operations and modern IT-integrated building intelligence. You will act as the primary guardian of the site’s "digital brain," ensuring that critical infrastructure, environmental tolerances, and smart IoT devices perform at peak efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and administer the on-site BMS, specifically focusing on Tridium (Niagara) and EasyIO platforms.

• Lead the planned maintenance (PPM) and reactive repair of control systems to ensure 100% uptime.

• Monitor environmental controls within specialist areas to maintain required tolerances and legislative standards.

• Act as the technical point of contact for the client and internal engineering teams during operational meetings or emergency procedures.

• Oversee the building’s smart systems, including IoT devices, MQTT protocols, and API integrations.

• Apply strict change control to all software, hardware, and documentation to ensure statutory compliance.

• Utilize Fault Detection Diagnostic (FDD) data to identify and implement system enhancements.

• Conduct technical and quality audits to verify that assets are performing to specification.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a BMS-focused role with a strong understanding of building services (mechanical and electrical).

• Advanced working knowledge of the Niagara Framework (Tridium) and EasyIO.

• Fluency in standard communication protocols including BACnet and Modbus.

• Fundamental knowledge of IT networking and the ability to manage IP-based control systems.

• Experience with modern data integration, such as APIs or IoT sensor networks.

• Exceptional communication skills and the ability to translate technical data for non-technical stakeholders.

• A disciplined approach to documentation, testing, and fault-finding.
