Role Overview
CBRE is recruiting a Workplace Manager to lead the delivery of workplace and facilities services at a high‑profile life sciences site. This is a client‑facing leadership role responsible for service delivery, people management, health & safety, financial performance and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the on‑site workplace team to deliver services in line with SLAs and KPIs
- Act as the main point of contact for the client, building strong working relationships
- Ensure Health & Safety, QSHE and statutory compliance across all services and contractors
- Manage site operations, including reception, post, cleaning, catering, meeting rooms and office services
- Oversee reactive and planned maintenance delivery via CAFM / helpdesk systems
- Manage site budgets, cost control, reporting, accruals and purchase orders
- Produce weekly and monthly financial and performance reports
- Support workplace improvements, new initiatives and flexible ways of working
- Manage projects, moves, changes and events on site
- Recruit, develop and performance‑manage team members and support succession planning
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in a Workplace Manager, Facilities Manager or Operations Manager role
- Strong background in customer service, hospitality, front‑of‑house or workplace services
- Confident managing people, budgets and client relationships
- Strong understanding of Health & Safety and compliance
- Experience using CAFM systems and Microsoft Office
- Highly organised, professional and service‑driven
Desirable:
- Life sciences, corporate office or high‑profile client experience
- Financial or commercial management experience
