As a Multiskilled Engineer, you will perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on building systems and equipment across small to medium-sized facilities. This role supports the Engineering and Technical Services function and is responsible for maintaining safe, efficient, and reliable building operations. Working under general direction, you will apply hands-on technical expertise across mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general building systems while responding to work orders, inspections, and emergency situations.

What You’ll Do

  • Perform ongoing preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, lighting, life safety, and building management systems.
  • Conduct routine inspections, diagnose deficiencies, troubleshoot issues, and complete repairs in a timely manner.
  • Assist with and/or perform installations, modifications, and upgrades of building equipment and systems.
  • Monitor building system operations and performance to ensure optimal efficiency and reliability.
  • Maintain building lighting systems, including ballast and lamp repairs or replacements.
  • Support and execute energy management initiatives, ensuring systems operate in the most efficient and cost-effective manner.
  • Review, prioritize, and complete assigned work orders using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
  • Prepare estimates for labor, materials, and time required to complete maintenance tasks.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, spare parts, and supplies; order materials as needed.
  • Inspect existing installations for compliance with applicable codes, regulations, and safety standards.
  • Respond to emergency maintenance situations and customer requests with a sense of urgency.
  • Coordinate, oversee, and inspect work performed by outside contractors.
  • Perform a variety of skilled tasks including, but not limited to: carpentry, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, painting, locksmith work, welding, roofing, furniture assembly/relocation, and minor construction.
  • Maintain professional appearance of engineering spaces, equipment rooms, and common areas.
  • Provide informal technical guidance and assistance to coworkers as needed.
  • Comply with all company policies, operating procedures, and Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


What You’ll Need

  • High School Diploma or GED required; trade school completion preferred.
  • 2–8+ years of experience in building maintenance, engineering, or a related technical field.
  • In lieu of a diploma, an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • Universal CFC Certification required.
  • Additional certifications preferred in one or more of the following areas: HVAC, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, refrigeration, process controls, carpentry, or associated trades.
  • Licenses or certifications as required by local or state jurisdictions.
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.
