About the Role:

Join CBRE as an HVAC Technician supporting a large, state‑of‑the‑art Life Science Facility in Cambridge, MA—complete with free on‑site parking. In this role, you will play a critical part in keeping the mechanical and electrical equipment that drives commercial HVAC systems operating at peak performance. Your expertise ensures a safe, reliable, and comfortable environment for all building occupants, including highly regulated research and laboratory spaces.

As part of CBRE’s Engineering & Technical Services team, you will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot system issues, and complete repairs on a wide range of equipment to support continuous, efficient facility operations.

What You'll Do:

  • Install, repair, adjust, and maintain small electric or pneumatic control systems used for building. This includes heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems and equipment.
  • Conduct ongoing maintenance on building HVAC equipment to ensure proper operation of equipment and compliance with all applicable codes, regulations, and work safety.
  • Troubleshoot equipment failures and determine best course of action for equipment modifications.
  • Use existing procedures to solve straightforward problems while having a limited opportunity to exercise discretion.
  • Impact through clearly defined duties, methods, and tasks are described in detail.
  • Deliver own output by following defined procedures and processes under close supervision and guidance.

What You'll Need:

  • High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 1-2 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • EPA Universal Certificate
  • Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
  • Ability to follow basic work routines and standards in the application of work.
  • Communication skills to exchange straightforward information.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc
  • Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
